Quasi — BOBCBC | the den - skateboard videos

BOBCBC is a quietly radical skate video built on a simple constraint. Directed by Bobby De Keyzer and Tomas Morrison, the 24-minute film unfolds entirely within a single location: the CBC benches in downtown Toronto. What might initially read as an unremarkable corporate plaza becomes the entire universe of the video. Over two and a half months, De Keyzer returns to the same cluster of ledges again and again, working through lines with a near-obsessive focus. The structure is deliberately repetitive. Tricks are attempted repeatedly, sometimes landed cleanly, often not. Instead of trimming away the struggle, BOBCBC lets the process breathe. You see the misses, the frustration, the quiet recalibration before another try. That repetition gradually shifts the way the plaza is perceived. The rough ground, tight angles, and awkward downhill slope stop feeling like limitations and start functioning like a framework. Each attempt reveals a slightly different reading of the same terrain. Morrison’s filming mirrors that tension between intimacy and distance—tight follow shots cut against static, surveillance-like angles that reduce the action to a small figure moving through the plaza. The result sits somewhere between skate part and process study: a meditation on persistence, precision, and the strange rhythm of trying the same thing over and over until it finally works. – Adam Get full credentials, skater details, and video soundtracks from our friends at skatevideosite.com
